Dominique Pamplemousse is a stop motion adventure that explores representations of gender. The eponymous character is nonbinary, and explicitly expresses this in exchanges such as the following:

“I don’t mean to be rude, but what are you?”
“I’m a private detective,” Dominique replies.
“No, are you a boy or a girl?”

In the promotional material for the sequel, Dominique is referred to as 'our favourite genderqueer private detective'. In the second title, the protagonist is cloned and the player must help discover which Dominique is 'canon'.
