Hasbro's Game of Life—a digital version of the 1860 boardgame classic—allows players to have same-gender marriages, which has caused some controversy.

Interestingly, in the original 1860 boardgame version, players can choose a blue or pink peg to indicate that they are married. There has never been an explicit rule preventing players to choose a peg indicating a marriage to somebody of the same binary gender, and this would only be restricted by the others playing the game.
