In the HD version of Spelunky, the player-character can regain health by rescuing damsels and returning them to the stage exit. The player-character kisses these damsels during the level transitions, regardless of the player-character's gender. The damsels can also have their appearance changed to that of Chippendales dancers, pug dogs, or set to random.
