Super Smash Bros. Ultimate includes a mode that allows characters Pit and Palutena to provide commentary on the other playable fighters. One of the comments made by Palutena about Yoshi is that 'all living beings contain male and female elements. It appears Yoshi is no different.' implying that Yoshi may be intersex, or genderqueer.
