The Royal Trap is a visual novel that allows the player-character to have same-gender relationships. When pursuing Callum, the player-character is given the option to run away with Dolores instead if the player-character turns down Callum's proposal. Additionally, Gaston's maid Colette reveals that she is only interested in dating women and, although she does not have a narrative route with the player-character, the player is able to flirt with her.
