It took me about four hours to do one playthrough of this free visual novel, and to be honest, I only understood what was going on for maybe the last half an hour. It isn’t usually clear which character is speaking at any given time, plus sometimes it flashes back to a previous point in the timeline without warning or explanation, so it’s not so easy to follow.
There are some good ideas here, and some hints at romance, but I was mostly just raising my brow and desperately trying to comprehend. It wasn’t terrible, but I’m not tempted to explore the other pathways or unlock alternative endings. If anyone is curious and does decide to play, I got an ending called ‘dawning’ (I think).
You should play this if…
You are particularly interested in very dark, somewhat gruesome tales about… mythical creatures? That’s probably the easiest way to describe it. It’s also possible that you’ll have a better handle on the plot than I did, so if it particularly piques your interest and you have some time to kill… at least it’s free?
