Nicki Minaj: The Empire

Two femme looking people standing on a dancefloor. Dialogue reads 'Just the girl I've been looking for. When you gonna ask me out already? For real?'.
Just as you were discovered by Britney Spears in a café, you can also be noticed during a rap battle and whisked onto the path to fame by Nicki Minaj. Unlike similar games, however, this one doesn’t let you date – who has time for stupid things like that when you’re destined for lyrical greatness? Not you, that’s for sure.

Honestly, I didn’t mind that you couldn’t date, it didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. Instead, I enjoyed seeing the romance play out between my manager/best friend Kayla and record company executive assistant Priya. Is it awkward? Yes. But it’s also entertaining, and it’s nice to see a same-sex relationship just casually slipped in there.

You should play this if…

You like these casual simulation type games, and want to be able to sort of write raps and dress your character like a boss. Plus there are some little clips and voice-overs in there by Nicki Minaj herself, so if you're a fan, that's a fun little addition.
